Water Department

The Water Treatment Plant (WTP) treats and pumps water to the city water distribution system for fire protection and delivery to customers on a seven day-a-week basis. The plant operates under the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) and USEPA regulations to ensure that public health requirements are met.

Department staff responds to customer emergencies and inquiries for service and locates water mains for contractors under the Miss Dig System.
