Police Department

The Mt. Pleasant Police Department (MPPD) protects our community with pride, integrity and compassion.
The cornerstone of our unit is continual training that keeps our policies and practices up-to-date. Some of our officers are certified trainers, who conduct workshops for law enforcement personnel across the region.

We take pride in our strong community relations, and are committed to maintaining valuable two-way dialogue and implementing new concepts. This is bolstered through our partnership with R.I.S.E., (an agency which provides support services for domestic violence and sexual assault victims). One outgrowth of this partnership was the addition of a Crisis and Trauma Response Clinician. Consequently, individuals are now being supported on multiple levels and across agencies.

The continuation of our community’s trust is a top priority for our department.
