Manage an Existing Account

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's Red Flag Rules the City is required to verify the true identity of a person establishing a new account or making changes to an existing utility account.

Therefore, to set up a new account or transfer the name on a rental unit, customers will need to present a valid photo id (driver's license, passport, local university student ID, etc). Federal law requires municipalities to obtain and verify information that identifies any person who opens or attempts to gain access to an account.

Therefore, when you open an account, we will ask to see your driver's license or any other form of government issued photo ID. If you are a renter, you will also be asked to present your lease agreement.
