Flag Football


The MPPR Flag Football League is centered around fundamentals and skill development. Players learn offense and defense, running routes, passing, hand-offs, defensive positioning and “tackling” by pulling the flag off their opponent’s belt. The league offers players, of all skill sets, the experience of playing flag football in a team format. The goal of the program is to keep kids active, provide positive social relationships, improve and enhance skills, and most importantly, have fun.

Uniform
Participants should wear athletic clothing and closed toe shoes (cleats recommended).  Protective football equipment prohibited, other than a mouth guard (optional).

MPPR will form and roster teams, that will be coached by community volunteers.

Kindergarten - 1st grade

2nd - 3rd Grade

4th - 6th Grade


Schedules are determined by the number of teams, field and coach availability. 
Practices (one per week) are held Monday – Wednesday between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Practices are one hour in length.
Games may start as early as 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

Practices Begin: Week of August 14, 2023
Games: Thursdays, August 24 – October 5, 2023
**No games 8/31/2023** (Labor Day)

*Parents will be contacted by team coaches following the 8/8/2023 coaches meeting.
